Hi Jim and Owen and Mzee fans, I'm so happy that this exists. I saw Sabine yesterday, she is weak as she had a bad reaction to a treatment. She is till in hospital, but she is getting better every day and wont let us bring her anything to make her room more homely - she doesn't want it to become home! I send her some of her favourites from time to time - salami, cheese and grapes! I feel terrible that Owen and Mzee blog is not as active as before - but I do stay in touch with Stephen and others on the ground, Owen, Mzee, Cleo and Toto are all doing fine. I'll try to get you some current photos Jim. I miss them all :( Paula

Hi Jim -- I was finally able to make my way in here! I am sad to hear that Sabine is so sick...I hope she will be on the mend soon.

I sent a card, one that I bought ages ago - a drawing of two hippos swimming in a lotus pool... I never thought there was any event worth giving it up for before, but today, I sent to Sabine, to tell her she has many friends among the Owen/Mzee/Cleo/Toto/Sally/Potty/etcfans. I do hope she gets well soon.

Hi Jim and O&M bloggers. After a long time I checked out the O&M blog, and found it stagnated (sorry about this - I'll see what I can do to keep the blog alive while the new site is coming up at snail's pace), and also found concerns about my health. Thanks, it was nice to see you guys care! Thanks, Paula, for your update! By now I'm feeling much better and stronger, and am about to finally get out of the hospital. I have learnt to appreciate so many things we take for granted in our nomal lives - and I'm really grateful I am able to walk again! After having been quite completely immobilized, this is a big milestone! - I get a lot of updates from Haller Park. After a lot of rain everywhere is green. There is a lot of new grass in Owen & Cleo's enclosure, and they are enjoying the grazing! I hope I can get some more updates soon. Also Patricia is about to come back from her long leave, so we can expect something from her as well. All the best to everybody! Sabine
